The MNSR joins the European Night of Museums 2023, which takes place on May 13th, with opening hours extended until 11pm and free entry from 6pm. The initiative, created in 2005 by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication with the support of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), has been allowing new interactions with visitors and different experiences with the opening at night.
Workshop Where do the animals stop at the Museum?
Based on the proverb at night all cats are gray, the Education Service proposes a workshop for families. Different generations come together to look for animals and plants drawn, painted, molded and sculpted in different ways on pieces from the Museum’s collection on a nocturnal walk. After finding out where the animals are in the Museum, what do we do with them? An artistic composition of spiders!
