The MNSR opens on November 19, at the Machado de Castro National Museum, in Coimbra, the traveling exhibition AZUL E OURO. ENAMEL IN PORTUGAL FROM THE MEDIEVAL PERIOD TO THE MODERN PERIOD. Dedicated to artistic work in enamel, the exhibition presents a set of pieces produced between the 12th and 19th centuries, bringing together and comparing the various techniques used in liturgical, devotional and decorative objects. In this technical list, the 26 plaques originating from the Monastery of Santa Cruz, in Coimbra, assume a relevant role that expresses true complicity between materials, techniques and a plasticity coming from the creative force of the 16th century.
Patent until February 27, 2022, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 17:30.
