Ana Paula Machado, Conservator of the Painting Collection at the Soares dos Reis National Museum, is taking part in the 5th Inter-County Library Conference in Amares, Terras de Bouro and Vila Verde today at 2.45pm, presenting a paper entitled “Artur Loureiro’s painting in Terras de Bouro”.
With a degree in History-Variant of Art, a postgraduate degree in Museology and a PhD in History of Art from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto, Ana Paula Machado is a Conservator at the Soares dos Reis National Museum, working with the painting collection since 1999.
Since then she has produced and curated exhibitions and published essays and reviews in catalogues and specialist journals.
In 2011, she published the essay “Artur Loureiro, entre forma e ideia – um pintor português no encontro dos séculos” and, in partnership with Elisa Soares, coordinated the catalogue and exhibition “Artur Loureiro 1853-1932” at the Soares dos Reis National Museum that same year.
The Inter-County Library Days, in their 5th edition, are promoted by the municipal and school libraries of Amares, Terras de Bouro and Vila Verde, with the collaboration of the Municipal Councils of the three counties, in partnership with the School Library Network and the Alto Cávado Training Centre.
