Coordination – António Menéres, Mafalda Beira, Pedro Borges de Araújo, Sérgio Amorim
The exhibition with photographs by António Menéres marks the 50th anniversary of the first edition of popular architecture in Portugal, the result of the Survey of Portuguese regional architecture (1955-1961), a pioneering work in the study and dissemination of the most forgotten architectural heritage.
MNSR accepted the challenge that one of the newest architects involved in this remarkable project posed to us. Architect António Menéres was one of the collaborators of the national team, coordinated by architect Keil do Amaral. The architect Carvalho Dias promptly joined the group.
