The Friends of the MNSR – Círculo Dr. José de Figueiredo, in partnership with the MNSR, the University of Porto and the Fundação Instituto Marques da Silva, promotes the Bernardo Ferrão International Congress and the Decorative Arts in the East and the World. The program highlights the launch of the book Bernardo Ferrão and Decorative Arts in the East and the World. Homage Studies. A recognized art collector, Bernardo Ferrão (1913-1982) dedicated a large part of his life to the study of Portuguese furniture and ceramics, in particular Portuguese-Oriental decorative arts in Portugal.
