Exemptions
Entry is free on Sundays and public holidays for all citizens residing in the national territory.
Entry is free every day for:
. Children and young people up to and including 12 years of age*
. Unemployed visitors residing in the European Union*
. Visitors with reduced mobility (60% of incapacity proven by documents) and 1 companion.
. Members of ICOM, ICOMOS and APOM
. Researchers, conservators, restorers, museology and/or heritage professionals performing their duties*
. Members of Groups of Friends of Museums, Monuments and Palaces of the DGPC *
. Volunteers working at the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage and 1 companion*
. European Heritage Days (Sunday)
. International Day of Monuments and Sites – 18 April (Exclusively for Monuments under DGPC protection)
. International Museum Day – May 18th (Exclusively for museums and palaces under the supervision of DGPC)
. “Night of the Museums” and “Thursday Night (In access to activities organized within the scope of the respective program organized by the DGPC)
. Tourism professionals upon presentation of proof of registration with RNAAT
. Journalists in office* upon prior notice
. DGPC* employees and 3 companions
. Teachers and students of any level of education, including Senior or 3rd Age Universities, when proven to be on a study visit and upon prior appointment confirmed by the SD Management*
. Accredited groups of Portuguese Social Solidarity Institutions or Social Action Areas of Local Authorities or other Public Interest Institutions with prior authorization from the DGPC Management

General Standards
Prior booking is mandatory for groups larger than 50 people.
Quantity discounts do not apply to Circuit Tickets.
All discounts applied to individual tickets apply to Circuit Tickets and guided tours with the exception of guided tours outside opening hours.
Vouchers issued when purchasing tickets in advance are valid for 1 year.
Discounts cannot be accumulated.
