The Friends of the MNSR – Círculo Dr. José de Figueiredo launch the 24th edition of the MVSEU magazine at the MNSR, the oldest magazine in Portugal dedicated to the historiography of art. In this edition there are several themes presented on Heritage and Museology. It is part of an article by the MNSR collection manager, José Costa Reis, about the dynamics of the Museum in the 40s, a time when the Director at the time, Vasco Valente, was responsible for transferring the MNSR to the Palácio dos Carrancas, in Porto, leaving the building of the former Convent of Santo António da Cidade, next to Jardim de São Lázaro.
